Glenrock Parade

Add missing link footpath eastern end of Melaleuca Park
The missing link footpath in Glenrock Parade adjacent to Melaleuca
Park has been listed for consideration of funding in the Minor Capital
Works for 2011/12. If this project is successful in attracting funding
the footpath would be constructed by June 2012.

Provide safe pedestrian footpath off road between Tascott carpark and
Thomas Street
A footpath at this location would be considered in conjunction with
future upgrading works of Glenrock Parade.

Provide safe footpath at eastern side of corner opposite Nimala Street north end
A footpath at this location has been included in the design for the
upgrading of Glenrock Parade from Nimala Avenue (north) to Havendale
Close. Funds have been allocated in the 2011/12 Capital Works Program.

Widen the road pavement and kerb and gutter upper southern side of
Takari Avenue and the section of Nioka Avenue between Taken and
Talinga Avenues.

An Officer of Council’s Engineering Investigations Unit will
investigate the warrant for widening of the road pavement and the
provision of kerb and guttering and footpath at this location. Any
identified works will be placed on Council’s unfunded list of works
and compete for funding in a future Capital Works Program.

Finch public jetty at Couche Park where toilet block is in danger of
being washed away

Council’s Parks and Foreshore Officer is currently investigating
options to resolve the problem of erosion resulting from the
deterioration of the current seawall. The requested provision of a
hard form seawall will depend on funding available for the project.
The placement of coir logs and vegetation planting along the eroded
foreshore has been scheduled for August 2011 in order to improve the
area.

Clear Melaleuca creek beside children ‘s playground to deter snakes.

The ongoing removal of vegetation within the creek line will occur as
required, including the cleaning of the sediment traps adjacent to the
playground.

Resurface Koolewong Foreshow Reserve car parks and boat ramps.

Heavy patching works will repair potholes and boat ramp entry only.

On cycleway extend off road cycleway down east side of Yallambee Road.

Council has applied for funding to continue the existing off-road
